Basic Handgun

This course is designed for the average citizen, business owner or those licensed to carry a Concealed Weapon (CCW) on their person. The student will be exposed to modern handgun techniques, mental conditioning and defensive tactics.

  • Course Contents

    The objective of this course is teach individual students proper and legal use of firearms, as well as developing both defensive and tactical gun handling skills, for the purpose of survival. It is the student’s responsibility to use the tactics we recommend along with common sense. For the student in possession of a CCW, or in the process of obtaining one, this course emphasizes all aspects of concealed carry, as well as firearms training.

    In this course we address the legal and moral aspects of deadly force, firearms safety, mental preparation, marksmanship development, defensive shooting techniques, protective strategies for the home, threat perception and identification, weapons transportation and concealment, and the armed citizen and law enforcement.

  • Program Duration

    This program consists of 24 hours of professional instruction, taught over an intensive two day period. Instruction centers upon classroom lectures, visual aids, and hands on training exercises.

  • Price

    This course costs $585 with a $150 required deposit.

  • Special Requirements

    Participants are not required to bring any weapons, ammunition or equipment. Weapons, ammunition, ear and eye safety equipment is provided by the training facility. Also included in the cost is a continental breakfast and lunch each day of training.

    Clothing should be suitable for outdoor range training.

  • Prerequisites

    This course is offered as open enrollment and is appropriate for both the beginner and those already familiar with firearms.
